Battle Tower philosophy

Why Tower Rating works this way

A ladder based mostly on rank would be too easy to freeze. You can start from Rank 10 if your save is already there. You can skip uploads when a run goes badly. So we rate the part that stays alive: rooms.

The Idea We want people to move around, take rooms, and upload real runs.
Rank is not enough

Rank still matters. But it should not be the whole story. A Rank 10 save does not tell us who is helping fill the Tower now.

Rooms are the race

Every rank has rooms to take. You can climb up, move sideways, or go back to a lower rank and claim space there.

Rank drops are fine

If you drop rank, we do not want that to feel like a debt. Trying another room should be part of the game, not something to hide.

Bad runs still count

Uploading a bad record still helps. It shows what happened, adds activity, and keeps the room updated.

Tower Rating Your rating comes from room control first, then from the runs you upload.
01 Take the lead

If you are first in a room, that is the main signal. The more rooms you lead, the more your Tower rank moves.

02 Dethrone people

A lead is not permanent. Someone can take your room, and you can take it back. That is the point.

03 Upload the ugly runs

You do not need a perfect 7/7. A partial run still matters. It also helps to fill every room and keep them active.

04 Move around

Go up ranks. Go sideways into other rooms. Drop back and try a different path. The ladder is built for that.

Ban Rules Please keep uploaded teams clean. Teams that break these checks can be banned from the Battle Tower ladder.
01 No one-hit KO moves

Do not use moves such as Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold on ladder teams.

02 No illegal EV spreads

Uploaded Pokemon must stay within legal EV limits and valid stat spread rules for the game.

03 No illegal Pokemon

Pokemon that cannot legally exist in the uploaded generation are not allowed on ladder teams.

04 No impossible sets

Movesets and abilities must be possible for that Pokemon in that generation.
